Interdenominational
Cooperation Fund
While we are proud of what the United Methodist Church believes
and particular role it has played in the history of the Church universal, we
recognize we are only a part of the larger Christian community. Thus, we
support efforts to bring dialogue between the various denominations of the
Christian Church.
- What is the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund?
- The Interdenominational Cooperation Fund is one of the seven
apportioned funds of The United Methodist Church. It was established in 1952 to
support ecumenical efforts around the world, witness to the Christian faith,
foster a renewal of Christian unity and understanding, meet human suffering,
and advocate for global peace and justice.
- What does the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund
support?
- Giving to the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund
apportionment nurtures the ministries of Churches Uniting in Christ, the
National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, the World Council of
Churches, the World Methodist Council and the Commission on Pan-Methodist
Cooperation and Union.
