Christian Believer begins with disciplined daily reading of Scripture and of the writings of early and modern church leaders.  Learning this content of faith results in faithful understanding of the teachings of Christianity and leads to weekly group discussion on the relation of Scripture, beliefs, and daily living.  The Bible and the United Methodist Hymnal will be references used in the class.  In addition, there are two unique Christian Believer books (see below).

Study Manual

The study manual guides daily reading in Scripture and in the book of readings, encourages daily prayer, provides space for taking notes for use in weekly group discussion, includes explanation of and commentary on the doctrines being studied, raises questions for reader reflection and written response, and suggests ideas for additional reading and study.

Book of Readings

The readings reflect the richness of thought and discussion within Christianity over two thousand years.  Through quotations you have opportunity to hear from and join faithful Christians from across the centuries in seeking understanding of the Christian faith.
