Disciples and Other Sinners
A Supremely Super Summer Study Series led by Tammy Nilges

Tuesday Evenings at 6:30 p.m.
June 9 to September 1, 2009

Have you ever wished you could be transported back to New Testament times just to see what it was like back then?  What if we brought some of the characters straight to Wesley to teach us about biblical history and the culture of this religiously important period of time.  If this sounds like an exciting way to learn Bible facts, you will want to join us for a special study series entitled, Disciples and Other Sinners.

Now, this won't be your average Bible Study.  Each session will begin with a narrative from a specific individual of Biblical times...in full costume.  After our Biblical visitors speak with us, participants will engage in a more in-depth study of the information our character of the evening presented to us.

An important factor which makes this the perfect summer Bible Study is that if you miss a class due to vacations, etc., you will not be lost in the next class.  Each class is a self-contained unit of study.  In all, thirteen characters will be presented; one each week.

Each story is a first-person account by the key character which is Biblically accurate and filled with detail about life in First Century Palestine.  Students learn significant details about the individual characters, their motives, and lifestyles, as well as learning how the people lived and worked and worshiped.  A primary impact on students is that they come to understand the New Testament figures as real people living in the real world.
