This fun group provides an opportunity for 3rd - 5th graders to get together once per month for fellowship and service September through May. Each meeting usually has a component of fun, fellowship, food and service with a Bible verse tying all events back to the Word. They have lots of fun activities like going to Walkabout Acres (kind of a petting zoo/bee farm/nursery) in Columbia and going to Shakespeare's pizza for a fun, end-of-the-year field trip. The children have had water game parties and made numerous holiday crafts over the years. But these "Mini-Methodists" also discover that being a follower of Christ means serving others and helping the church. They have done numerous projects for the shut-ins, they have made head rest pillows, provided food for Habitat for Humanity workers, written holiday cards and gone caroling at Christmas to their homes, to name a few. They have replenished the church pew pockets as a surprise for the persons in charge that week.
