The Wesley Wilderness
A SUNDAY SCHOOL EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN

Come along for an Adventure through the Wilderness . . . WESLEY WILDERNESS, that is!  Every Sunday morning our children from kindergarten through fifth grade are having an Adventure.

We are in our seventh year of using a workshop-rotation model for our elementary Sunday School.  Instead of having a single classroom where a child goes to Sunday School week after week and sits behind a table, our children enjoy a variety of teaching \ learning environments as they move from room to room and learn about the Bible.  Each classroom offers a different "workshop."

This year our workshops include:
Art Explorers
Food for the Soul
Technology Tent
Covenant Camp
Spirit River Theatre

Our Sunday School is divided into three classes during the school year: K-1, 2-3, and 4-5.  Each Sunday the children begin in the room known as the "Covenant Camp" with singing, learning the Bible memory verse, and prayer time.  Then they rotate by class into a different workshop for a four or five week period.  During that period of time, the story they learn is the same in each workshop.  Each of the workshops teaches through a different style of learning which enhances the learning process. Each week a dedicated group of workshop teachers bring the Bible stories to life and our faithful Shepherds guide the children.
