Because a Blanket Makes a Big Difference

Oh how good a warm blanket feels!  All of us know the feeling.   A blanket can ease pain, up-lift spirits and make the world seem brighter.  Earthquakes, tsunami storms, tornados, and other natural disasters have devastated areas around the world.  In such situations blankets become a tool of survival.  Here at Wesley United Methodist Church we have recognized the need and heard the plea from Church World Service.  The United Methodist Church is a great provider of blankets through UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief.) and our church is doing its share to ensure that blankets will be there when needed.

For only $5.00 a blanket, you can help to warm another human being in great need.  Show your passion and care by giving one or more blankets.  Make a difference when it really counts.  Even though we have an annual event to focus on blankets, you don't have to wait till then.  If you wish to contribute right now, just call the church office (573-893-2556) and we'll tell you how to make your contribution right away.

Special envelopes for blankets are made available during our yearly Blanket Sunday. However, the envelopes are also available from the church office throughout the year.
