Blood Drive

When blood supplies were dangerously low in Jefferson City one summer, Wesley U.M.C. was asked to help.  We quickly set up a blood drive at the church.

Our former pastor (left) and many others showed up in the church's fellowship hall to give blood.  Some of those who were not eligible to give blood, made cookies and other snacks that were shared with donors.

Wesley U.M.C. always stands ready to help community organizations when ever possible.  We have teamed up with Red Cross, for example, to designate our facility as an emergency gathering point in case of emergency or disaster.

Our most successful blood drive was on June 24, 2010 when we collected 27 units of blood from 32 willing participants.  We strive to coordinate a blood drive at least twice a year at Wesley UMC.
