Baby Bundles
for the Festival of Sharing

Several members of our newly formed United Methodist Women attended the October 2006 Festival of Sharing.  But, they did not go empty handed.  They took Baby Bundles with them.  The United Methodist Women had invited the church family to donate the various items necessary for each Baby Bundle.  Within a few weeks all the items were put together to create several Baby Bundles which were taken to the 2006 Festival of Sharing.  Cash contributions were also received.  Those funds were used to purchase needed items to round out and complete our bundles.

Each Baby Bundle included:
  • 2 receiving blankets
  • 1 Sweater set or top/pant set
  • 2 Undershirts
  • 2 Sleepers (1 piece or gown)
  • 8-12 diapers (cloth or disposable)

In subsequent years, the bundles have been put together by the women of our Piecemakers quilting group as well as the United Methodist Women.  Contributions for the project come in from the whole congregation.

May we always be anxious to help the youngest and most vulnerable of God's children.
