Responding to Floods and Tornadoes
Special Offering & Collecting Supplies

Flooding in the Midwest
Collecting Supplies

In light of recent flooding in many parts of the U.S., the Midwest Mission Distribution Center is totally out of cleaning buckets.  The Mission Team challenges Wesley to help "fill the pool" with cleaning supplies that will be sent to the MMDC to help replenish their supply.  The collection will begin on Sunday, May 29 and continue until Sunday, June 12.  Please put your contributions in the kiddie pool in the Fellowship Hall.   Cash donations to help with processing and shipping costs will also be accepted (be sure to mark your check in the memo line).   Below is the very specific list of NEW items that are needed:

  • Insect repellent spray (not killer, 6-14 oz.)
  • Liquid Laundry Detergent - 50 oz.
  • Household Cleaner (12 - 16 oz)
  • Air Freshener (8 - 9 oz. aerosol)
  • Sponges
  • Scouring Pads (no steel wool)
  • Scrub Brushes
  • Disinfectant Dish Soap (16 - 28 oz.)
  • Clothes Pins
  • Dust Masks
  • Latex Gloves
  • Work Gloves
  • 24 bag roll of heavy duty trash bags (33 - 45 gal)

These supplies will be sent not only to victims of flooding, but also to areas in Missouri hit by tornadoes.
