FEEDING OTHERS
On World Communion Sunday

A sign was posted outside the Jefferson City Samaritan Center announcing, "The Food Pantry is low. Please help."  Well, we are the Church.  We knew we could help!

So, Rev. Williams sent the word out to our church members just a few days before World Communion Sunday 2009.  He invited everyone to bring canned goods to church when they came to worship the Lord that Sunday.  Each person placed the food by the altar in the sanctuary when they arrived at church. During worship we dedicated it for the glory of God and the feeding of His children.

We had a large pile of food stacked up in front of the altar that Sunday. What an appropriate way to say thanks to God on this World Communion Sunday.
