Helping Local Foster Families

The Mission Team planned a special event for foster families in Cole County.  They invited local foster families to Wesley for yummy ice cream sundaes and a pre-Garage sale shopping spree on Thursday, April 29, 2010.

Each family was given a voucher with which to purchase items from the Wesley Garage Sale for their families.  We have prayed for these families who sacrifice in order to give displaced children in our area a stable home.  We also prayed that God would bless this event as we reached out to them.  And He did!

We had a large number foster care families attend this event.  We had plent of Wesley volunteers to help us serve/clean up the ice cream sundaes and also assist families as they shopped.  Thanks to the "Rummage Sale Ladies" who helped make this a blessed gesture to local foster families.
