Church-wide Hands On Mission Day

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Have you always wanted to take a mission trip but it costs too much or you can't afford to take the time off ?  That's what we have done the last two years.b We gathered together right in our own church to serve those at home and around the world during the Hands On Mission Day at Wesley U.M.C.  Various groups from the church, including the Piecemakers, U.M.W., U.M.M. and the Fellowship Team sponsored a variety of activities throughout the day.

Each person had a choice to participate in a variety of projects throughout the day.  We had a great day participating in mission all around the world without even having to leave home!

Some folks were able to be with us throughout the day; others were able to come for just part of the day.  Either way, those who participated experienced the joy of serving the Lord with their hands.

Some of our projects included:

–  sewing cloth diapers for the Midwest Mission Distribution Center

–  assembling a wood project to be donated to a local charity

–  making hand-made greeting cards to be distributed to local nursing homes,

–  and more.

Lunch wasbe provided by the Fellowship Team.

Plan to come and participate the whole day or just a part of it.
