MO Conference VIM Team - Trip to HawaiiChurch Camp! Does the mere mention of camp take you back to your youth, to times of fun, fellowship and learning more about God? Well, there hasn't been a United Methodist Church camp on the big island of Hawaii in over 20 years. Church volunteers are working to make that change and are building a new camp, Camp Mekokiko. A Volunteers In Mission (V.I.M.) group from Missouri went to Hawaii in January 2011 to help. There was plenty of time for work and exploring the sites of the island as well. Bob & Teresa Adams from our church participated in this mission trip to Hawaii and they will be sharing their experiences with our adult Sunday School classes on Sunday, March 27. Their trip leader will be coming down from Columbia to join us as well. All adult classes are invited to meet together in the Fellowship Hall that day to hear about Bob & Teresa's mission trip. We will have refreshments. For more Information: |
