The Sonshine U.M.W. Circle

As their name implies, the women of the Sonshine Circle know that we are called to let the Son of God shine in and through us.  It is not surprising then, that Bible study and local mission projects are important components for this group.  Indeed, shortly after organizing their circle, this group of women got to work organizing an effort within the church to provide “Birthday Kits” for children of underprivileged families.

In April 2008, the Sonshine Circle prepared an evening meal for Agape House residents. Members served the meal and visited with the residents who were spending the night at the Agape House.  In December 2008 the group donated paper towels, toilet tissue, facial tissues, diapers, napkins, paper plates, hot cups and cold cups to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center after collecting the items for three months.

The Sonshine women are also interested in learning more about the world around them. So, their meetings often include special interest programs.
