2009 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Camp E.D.G.E. (Experience & Discover God Everywhere)

 
We are planning a great Vacation Bible School for the children of our church and our surrounding neighborhood.  At Camp E.D.G.E., children join an extreme camp adventure where they will come to know that their strength and might come from God.

Dates: Sunday, May 31 through Thursday, June 4, 2009
Times: Light meal at 5:00 p.m.
              Activities running from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

All Children are Welcome

You don't have to be a member of our church to participate.  Our VBS events have always been open to the community.  In fact we encourage visitors.  Come and make new friends - good friends!

Age Range:

We will have classes for Pre-K through the 8th grade.

What to Expect:

 

Extreme Bible treks will introduce them to Bible characters who have experienced and discovered God in many ways. Kids will learn an E.D.G.E. pledge with each story to encourage them to live ion the E.D.G.E. every day.

 

Children will extend their learning through every activity: making their own special memories at the Art Apex, singing new music at Music Max, experiencing science activities at Exploration Ridge, participating in Recreational activities at the Rec Plex and enjoying a light supper at the Snack Express.  Check out the evening menu.

2009 V.B.S. Mission Project

Our mission project this year is "Sack Lunches for the Summer" sponsored by the Samaritan Center.  This mission project offers sack lunches in the park to children in Jefferson City during the summer months while school is not in session.

Want to Help?

• Contact VBS Director Sarah Jones or call the church office if you are willing to help out in any way.  There will be something for everyone and we welcome any and all volunteers!
• You could also help by loaning items for VBS use.  We are bringing the outdoors in.  Tree stumps, Christmas trees (undecorated), and camping gear will be meeded to make Wesley a camp experience that our VBS kids won't forget!  We have a whole list of items you may either donate or lend to the cause.  Loaned items will be returned promptly after the completion of VBS.  See the list of supplies needed.
• Come help us set up and decorate the church for VBS on Saturday, May 30, at 12:30 p.m.

Closing Day Events:

Closing Celebration:  Thursday, June 4, at 5:00 p.m.

Thursday Night will be Family Night.  We welcome parents or grandparents of the campers to come share a meal and see what all the children have learned and created during the week!

Meal time will be extended until 5:45 p.m.
