Donations of these items will be used to help local veterans and their families. Your donated items can be placed in the Mission Cafe area at Wesley UMC.

The pantry can always use nonfood items like shampoo, body wash, deodorants, hair spray, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and diapers in larger sizes (4,5,6,7)

Thank you for your continued support. The Mid-Mo Military Family Pantry helps military families and veterans in central Missouri. The pantry appreciates all that you do to support military families.

The pantry is located in the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) State Headquarters office. The phone number for the Food Pantry is 573-636-8761.

Formerly The Life of A Single Mom

Unstuck Ministries is a ministry held once a month at Wesley UMC. We meet from 5:30–7:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month (Sept.—May).

Childcare is provided for children ages birth—middle school.

Greetings from the Inn!  

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the last bits of summer.  Before we know it, it'll be time to start gearing up for our next season!

In the meantime, if you're like me, you had August 3 circled on your calendar. We're giving you that evening back! As I communicated with you in my last email, HCJC asked the City for a continuance, and based on the agenda for Monday night's council meeting, it has been granted. Depending on how the next couple of months unfold, we're now looking at early October before our zoning request goes before the City Council. 

While we still think that 107 Adams Street is the ideal location for a resource center and our expanded shelter, we look forward to working with the City to find a mutually agreeable location where we can serve our friends and neighbors in need.  In the meantime, we appreciate you continuing to contact city officials in support of our project.  Your Letters to the Editor have been great and noticed by city officials.  Keep it up!

Wesley Mission Team Volunteer 

‘Za Game Night at Wesley UMC

Game night meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 6–10 pm. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome! You are welcome to bring your own games or play the games others bring: just make sure that the games are apropriate for all ages.

Community Garden

If you or anyone you know in our community enjoys gardening but doesn't have the space to do so, we have a suggestion: 

Rent a space at the Wesley UMC Pinwheel Community Garden!

Each plot is approximately 20' X 20' and the rent is $30.  Last year’s gardeners will get the first opportunity to renew their rental plot. After that, applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Applications can be obtained by contacting the church office via email at wumcjeffcity@gmail.com or picked up at the church office, 2727 Wesley St., Monday—Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
