Breakfast Bonanza

Central Church has been a huge supporter of JCRATI, and that will continue on the morning of Saturday, November 14. The profits from their breakfast will come to us to help support our efforts.  Stop by the church at 118 Ashley for a delicious homemade breakfast from 7:30-10:30 am.

Room in the Gym

First Presbyterian Church is opening its gym to our guests for the month of November.  They could use volunteers!  Please go here to sign up.

Ordinance Update

We continue to monitor the progress of Jefferson City's proposed ordinance for homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and resource centers. We think it's going back to committee, and it's still a work in progress. We are glad to be part of the process and look forward to collaborating with the city. When we know more, you'll know more!

Whew!  If you made it through all that, you'll know we have lots going on and plenty of opportunities to get involved. I look forward to seeing you at any/all of the events listed above!

Peace

If you or anyone you know in our community enjoys gardening but doesn't have the space to do so, we have a suggestion:

Rent a space at the Wesley UMC Pinwheel Community Garden!

Each plot is approximately 20' X 20' and the rent is $30.  Last year’s gardeners will get the first opportunity to renew their rental plot. After that, applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Applications can be obtained by contacting the church office via email at wumcjeffcity@gmail.com or picked up at the church office, 2727 Wesley St., Monday—Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Any questions, please contact Marcia Burton at marcia.burton1005@gmail.com.
